My first helicopter ride :)

Last weekend when I was in Canmore with Dale, he wanted to make my trip out West special so he took me on a helicopter ride :)

It was my first time in a helicopter!

I was really nervous just before I got into the helicopter. I used the washroom several times within 30 minutes before heading to the launch pad! Lucky for me, I was totally fine once I was in the helicopter

Dale booked the tour with Apline Heli Tours. I lucked out with the weather - it was a gorgeous morning. And Dale chose the 30 minute Mount Assiniboine Glacier Tour

Me in front of the company sign

The launch and landing pad

I got front seat!!! It was just Dale and I who booked this particular helicopter which is good. So altogether there were four people - our pilot, Dale, a lady from the company (to even out the weight in the helicopter) and myself.
I really would not recommend a fifth person in a helicopter since the middle back seat probably has quite an obstructed view.
So this was the control panel! The pilot sits to the right (here drivers sit on the left in a car)

Our pilot James S. :)

He's a funny guy :) When I got into the helicopter I told him it was my first time in a helicopter and he said, "It's my first time too!" LOL

The closest I'll get to the peaks of any mountain....it was breath taking. The pictures don't do it any justice.

And we each got a little certificate saying we did the tour.

This is just a quick video I took in the valley of a mountain. The video quality is rather terrible on my Samsung PL100. Towards the 20 sec point, you can see how there is glass behind the foot rest in the front seat.

It was an amazing experience and I have Dale to thank so much for that. I'm really grateful to have him in my life. He is so generous to me.

And my helicopter ride was smoother than being in an airplane despite my fears :)

Have you been on a helicopter before? Where would you like to take a helicopter ride over? A canyon? Mountains? A waterfall?

Vans “Neon Pack”

So if you get down on the florescent tip then these Vans should do the trick for summer. The 2 different styles to rock no matter if you lace em up of just like to slide right in them, Vans got em. Take a look at a few of the orange, neon green, and neon pink that are definitely going to turn heads.

FOTD for the week

Because my luggage always ends up being borderline overweight, I usually only travel with enough makeup for one FOTD.

Last weekend on my travels to Canmore and Calgary, this was my FOTD everyday.

I'm pointing to a Mountain sheep.....

And it's a really simple EOTD....Left to Right
MAC Groundwork Paint Pot (one of my favourite paint pots!)
+ any highlight colour and Ardell 107 lashes (a picture of the lashes are in this blog post here)

One of the things Dale bought for me this past weekend was a $200 gift certificate to Forever21. One of the things I bought with the gift certificate was this t-shirt I'm wearing above. It's the Queen Card Front Tee

Do you pack light when you travel? Or is your luggage hitting the 45-48 lb mark like mine? LOL

Reebok "Rewind" Weekend

Chopping it up today with some really good peoples in the sneaker biz, I decided to throw up another "Rewind" post and see if you could name these or at least name who rocked what. During that conversation it made me think back on some other brands that I had while growing up besides Nike/Jordan. (It was not always nice & breezy....still not now that I think about it! LOL)

These are some of my personal favorites from reebok that I wish they would re-release to the streets. Possible that we might see something from the good folks at Reebok??? You never know..until then...get your google on and comment below if you can name them.

Mountain Sheep Spotted!

It was really exciting for me to see Mountain Sheep for the first time this past Saturday during my trip.

This is a really pretty picture with the moutains at Lake Minnewanka as a back drop

Then Dale and I drove about a minute or two up this road and look what we saw

They were so close!

Look at his crazy hair. Dale and I figured he must be shedding his winter coat ;)

I was a bit scared here to get out of the car LOL. Didn't want to get charged at but they're actually really tame and if you keep your distance and don't move fast/scare them.

Here's a video of the first three mountain sheep I saw at Lake Minnewanka.

I have so much to post about my trip and the gifts Dale bought for me. I'll try to pace myself here and maybe next do a post on the makeup I wore this past weekend (it was the same look everyday).

Have you seen any medium to large sized animals in the wild before? If so, which ones? :)

Future Sole M6 Launch Party (It could be you too!)

We reported on this story earlier last month and we just think it's amazing! If you stay in or live near Reading, PA then you are in for a celebration. For the rest of us we can read along at the information Jordan Brand put out and wait for pictures to pop up at a later date. Once they do, you know we got you! Stay tuned.

Since releasing imagery of the winning entry for the 2009 Future Sole Design Competition back in March, the sneaker community has been waiting for details surrounding the potential launch of Austin Jermacan’s winning design. Austin’s design of the Melo M6 was selected as the winning submission amongst the thousands of entries in the 2009 Future Sole Design Competition and we are pleased to announce that due to popular demand, we will be launching the Future Sole M6 on today at Villa in Austin’s home town of Reading, PA.

For those interested in attending, the festivities will begin at 3:30 on Thursday and will kick off with a sneaker design workshop being held for the Boys and Girls club that will be led by Jordan footwear designers. Attendees will get the chance to meet Austin as well as lead designers from our team, and have an opportunity to win an autographed jersey from Carmelo Anthony as well as a pair of the Jordan Future Sole M6. Austin’s winning design of the Melo M6 will then go on sale at 5:00. Villa is located at 547 Penn Street in Reading, PA. For those not able to attend, limited quantities of Austin’s Future Sole M6 be made available at retailers nationwide on Saturday the 29th.

Now that is love having your creation on an NBA players foot! Remember you can do it too! *Cue N.E.R.D.

Nike Navaro Low – (Black/White)

So while we all are grabbing the retro madness out there that Nike has to offer make sure you don't sleep on a pair of the Nike Navaro lows. A low cut tennis-inspired design, from the vulcanized midsole to the perforated swoosh make for a really nice casual kicker for this summer. We like it because of the clean cut upper and color tone used on this one. Be on the lookout because an all white/blk version should be released shortly after. Retail on these are only $65 and can be found at select Nike retailers.

Nike Hyperfuse Low Varsity Blue Black White

So with all the buzz around low top sneakers lately being on the court we take a look into the Nike Hyperfuse Low model. Rondo from the Boston Celtics is rocking this same shoe but only in a mid top cut. It takes mesh netting and what appears to be foamposite like material on certain parts of the shoe. No official word on when it will release but as always we will keep you up to speed. Check out the detailed shots below and let us know what you think about these being a decent hoop shoe!

Nike WMNS Dunk Hi Supreme – Pink – Silver

Available now at select Nike accounts for the ladies!!! We should know by now that summer is officially here when Nike starts to drop these loud colors in the Nike Dunk Hi for the ladies. Keep in mind ladies that it is a "supreme" so quality is a tad better than the normal dunk stock. Silver swoosh and white laces seems to set this one off pretty nice! Be on the lookout ladies.

Nike Zoom Trainer Huarache

So a few post ago the pictures of Wale popped up rocking a "limited release" color in the Zoom Trainer Huarache. Even though NIke has no plans as of yet bringing back the OG style Huarache they will hit us with this hybrid throughout the year. Take a look at some of the colors we can expect to see drop from Nike this year, there should be a colorway for all if you didn't like the joints Wale had on! Lol. Keep it locked.
