Deerhurst Resort

I've been away the past several days with Dale - he took us up to Deerhurst Resort :)

It's about a 3 hour drive up North - and we had an awesome time! It certainly was the Winter Wonderland escape we had hoped for

And there were so many activities we did which were my "firsts" - I'll be posting pictures up shortly

But look at one of the wild animals we saw right around the resort...

Now that I look at the picture a bit better, it does look like a turkey (we were told it's a female turkey)

But in person this bird looked crazy (and huge!)!! I was joking it was a dinosaur bird LOL

I was told by my massage therapist (Dale got me a hot stone massage at the Deerhurst spa) that wild turkeys don't taste good and that the meat is tough. Well, I haven't tried wild turkey but Dale, my massage therapist and myself agree that Butterball is the way to go with turkey
