Been a minute since we last reported on the Nike SB. Below is the current assortment that will release to the general public for May release. Shout out to KATC for being one of the first sites to post closer shots of the shoes online. This months releases will include Seahawks Nike Dunk SB High, the Aqua Nike SB Dunk Low, the Capuccino and White/Black Nike SB Janoski Mid, the Slate/Gum Nike SB Janoski Low, and a couple other styles. Remember that you "dunk" lineups now all have the retooled outsole on them and revamped uppers for more comfort. Be on the look out @ your local skate shop!
When we first caught wind of Nike SB putting out their version of the "space jam" inspired SB we were a little skeptical. Now that better pictures have surfaced these don't look half bad at all. All black mesh upper, white midsole, icy outsole, touches of blue and Nike even keep similar round laces like the Space Jam 11 has. These will hit SB accounts as a quickstrike for May...expect them not to last on shelves. Thoughts?
So just in case you don't know too much of the background history behind this "Liberty Dunk" SSD is going to keep you up to speed. The obvious thing about this shoe is the color and the statue of liberty tag near the tongue. What is not so obvious is the fact that the shoes carries what Nike calls "distress leather." As you wear or either skate in these sneakers the green leather starts to turn bronze... this is a cool concept taken from the actual statue of liberty showing off it's age yet still beauty. Nike SB is going to have quite a bit to offer this year. These Neon Dunk Lows hit the web late last year and now your local skate shop should be getting them in this month. Just when you thought sneaker purchases would slow down for a bit....yeah right! We will give you more of a follow up on these once they drop.
This video hit the web almost a week ago and is currently catching a ton of attention. Nike SB line is really stepping their quality control game up for 2011. Even thought the only changes we've seen so far is adding zoom air and a cushioned tongue, Nike we are sure is going to have some tricks up their sleeves. Check out the video below and peep the pictures of the new Dunk Pro that will release sometime in January of 2011. We will keep the streets posted.
