Quick re-cap of my 2010

2010 was a great year for me :)

My family and close friends were in good health and we spent some great times together

I spent a lot of time with my best friend Evgueni (I'll always love you)

Rarely a day has passed in the 3.5 years I've known him that we don't keep in touch or see each other
He knows everything about me, is always supportive, motivates me, loves me, is there for me and he's such a wonderful person. My life would never be the same without him

............

I also spent a lot of my spare time at Brant House nightclub with Jasmin the first part of the year

.........

I had met Dale just over a year ago - December 2009
He's become a very close friend and important person in my life
I've been so fortunate of all the things he spoils me with & to be given the opportunity to travel with him

He brought me on my first trip for 2010 - it was to visit him in Calgary/Canmore in May (it's ~3.5 hr flight away from me). Dale taking me on my first helicopter ride was one of the memorable moments :)

In June my parents took me to Las Vegas
It was the first time I travelled alone with just my parents where neither of my sisters came along
I love my parents so so much & it was really nice to spend time with them both

The same day I flew back from Vegas, Dale took me on a trip to Kansas City Missouri
And during the second game he took me to, the umpire threw me a baseball - best souvenir everrrr

My younger sister Jenn lives ~3.5 hr flight out West, and for the past 3 years she's visited our family in Toronto twice a year annually - once in the summertime and once over Christmas Holidays
This past summer when she was in Toronto late July-early August, my whole family did a road trip to Grove City Pennsylvania and Pittsburgh
The highlights? Shopping of course haha & spending time with the whole family :)

Lets not forget two very cool dudes that introduced sheesha into my life back in August - Dani & Branko, who were visiting from Serbia

..............

Then September 25th was the start of a 9 week vacation...
The first part was going to Asia with both my parents - again! I was super lucky in 2010 to not only travel alone with my parents for the first time but for a second time. Home base on this 4 week trip was Kuala Lumpur Malaysia - where 95% of my extended family lives and the country my parents were born/raised in.

My parents and I visited Thailand for 5 days during this trip

Highlights - Shanghai skyline at night on a cruise, visiting a couple of tea plantations, various old cities with beautiful architecture and of course the horrible food :P

Yeah, whoever said London England has bad food never ate in China dude

And my Dad took me to one of the most beautiful places ever for 2 nights - Redang Malaysia
Highlights were making friends with the lifeguards, going snorkelling for the first time and seeing so many beautiful fish and a sea turtle (!), and of course the gorgeous beachside resort

Then I came back for a week in Toronto late October - celebrated Halloween

And then I was off again for another 3.5 weeks to Thailand
This time I went with Jasmin to celebrate her friend Oi's wedding

The traditional Thai wedding was really neat to experience
It was my first wedding actually - yeah I live under a rock okay! LOL
The bride looked beautiful. And I really liked the pink bridesmaids gowns we chose out

There was also the modern wedding
I'm so happy for Oi & Josef and I truly wish them the best in their lives together

.............

I came back home to Toronto for not even a week, and then Dale took me on my Birthday trip to London England, Paris and Stonehenge

It was my first trip to Europe
I was sooo lucky that Dale took care of everything as he always does
It's really beautiful - the food in London is pretty darn good (like, who made the rumour on bad food in London?), the people seemed friendly & both Dale and I agreed there would be lots to see if we went back again

The past 2 weeks has been full of yummy food at Mom and Dad's for the Holiday season, catching up with my younger sister Jenn who is in town, planning out a fun trip up North with Dale in 1.5 weeks, catching up with work and a bunch of other stuff.

So that brings us to here

And I do look back on 2010 as being a fabulous year for me
I hope it was for you too :)

What were some of the memorable moments and highlights in 2010 for you?

NOTD: Forever21 Disco Ball Nail Polish

I picked up a few things from Forever21, including nail polish

I always find glitter nail polish to be a safe bet if I'm not sure about the quality....as long as it looks like there's enough glitter in the polish, I'm set to go

But for colour nail polishes, crappy brands might have super thick formulas, super thin formulas or formulas that just chip very easily :S

I LOVE the colour above which is the Forever21 Disco Ball Nail Polish. It reminds me of aluminum foil!!!

I applied four coats of the colour and because the glitter can be a bit sharp if it's not sitting along your nail perfectly, I applied two layers of top coat to help cover any sharp edges

The other confetti nail polish I picked up is the gold version of the one above...but this one actually has glitter in it as well
Although this colour doesn't stand out as much as the silver one above, I really like this one too

What's on your nails?
Do you have plans for New Year's Eve?

Air Jordan Retro VII (7) White Orion Blue Infrared New Detailed Pics

The retro 7 will make it's return yet again in 2011 sometime early spring. These retro 7's are not an original color but yet a retro+ color that Jordan Brand will give to the street. We can expect the shoe to retail for about $150 once they release. From these early pictures the leather is looking a little stiff with very little flexibility. We will have the sneakers soon enough to do a review on but we are thinking the material are the same used on the "For the love of the game" 7 that released this past summer. Time will tell.....keep it locked!

Vacation Pictures: Salisbury & Stonehenge

Dale took me on a day trip to see Stonehenge on Mon Dec 13th as part of my London Birthday trip :)

To get to Stonehenge we took the train from London to Salisbury (we boarded the train at King's Cross Station)
From Salisbury to Stonehenge it's just a 15-20 minute drive

And Salisbury is a really nice quaint town!
I felt like I was on the set of Coronation Street LOL
Here are a few pictures of Salisbury.....

At the train station in Salisbury we boarded this bus that took us to Stonehenge

Dale didn't sleep much the night before so I was joking that Stonehenge might be more interesting to him  because he might see the stones moving (like, you know how you see things when you're lacking sleep?)

This barricade only went up awhile ago because one of our taxi drivers in London said he use be able to sit on the stones in Stonehenge and hang out there with his buddies years ago

Dale and I cracked a lot of jokes here because well, although it is really nice to see Stonehenge it is a bunch of stones after all (I probably just offended a whole lot of historians)

So I was joking that this big lone stone (pictured above) was "the stone that didn't make it"
I joked that the people (not aliens!) who made Stonehenge got too tired dragging stones and just left this one behind hehe
Dale joked it wasn't a big enough stone to be part of Stonehenge - so that's why it was left behind
Hey! We gotta make our trip exciting right?!! :P

In the Stonehenge gift shop, there were so many "perfect" (photoshopped?) pictures of Stonehenge that Dale and I were like, "THAT doesn't look like what's out there"
The stones just seemed more scattered and fewer in real life than in those "nice" pictures
So we were kidding that it's a hoax and that if we jumped the barricade, we'd discover the stones are made of cardboard and styrofoam LOL

And then there's that big question as to why was Stonehenge made?
Well, between 1600-3100 BC when Stonehenge was in the making, there weren't any English pubs, TV, Internet, nightclubs and all that fun stuff.....so I joked that this was their form of entertainment - lugging huge stones around :P

Okay okay...all joking aside, I do agree with one of our cab drivers in London that the people who made it most likely did it for religious reasons - because like he said, why would people make such an effort to do something if they weren't going to get anything out of it? Makes sense.

Sooo.....who thinks Aliens made Stonehenge?
Okay, what about those crop circles?!

New Lebron 8 Colors (DJ Clark Kent Personal Pair)

Nine times out of ten you can always count on the homie Clark Kent to preview the madness and keep the internetz buzzing. These are recent shots from Clarks twitter post over the past few days with a few little gems amongst many that sit in his possession. The streets are dubbing the first joints "Summit Lake Hornets" and the second picture "Entourage." No official word yet on if either of these kicks will release to the streets but we can now sit in awe at what we have posted. Keep it locked here once we get more info!

NIKE LEBRON 8 V2 WHITE/BLACK-SPORT RED

The Lebron 8 is seriously becoming one of our favorite shoes for 2010-2011. Just the whole concept that Jason P. and team came up with having the shoe being broken down into different versions in genius in our opinion. The White/Black/Red pictures below are scheduled to hit sometime in January and retail will still be for $160. This is the second version of the Lebron 8 that will hit retail just as the "Christmas Editions" did in Dec. We look forward to these coming in as well and will definitely put up those comparison pictures once in our possession.

Air Jordan 2011 New Detailed Pic

We still are reserving our judgement till we have our hands on a pair within the up incoming weeks. Take a look a this detailed shot that has been floating around on the web for the last few days. Start to definitely see where the premium leather falls on this shoe. While these shoe pictures could still very well be samples, it still looks as if this is the silhouette that Jordan Brand is deciding to run with for the new year. Comment below.....

Dwyane Wade Previews the Jordan 2011

If you all were able to catch the Heat vs Lakers game on Christmas day you would have seen Miami own D.Wade rocking the new Jordan 2011 in red/white colorway. Details on the sneaker in regards to price and release date still remains unknown at this point. Funny thing is that just before half time D.Wade switched up and through the 2010's back on instead. Rumors say that he normally does that anyway during the game which is fine, but we found it pretty interesting.

Pre-game D.Wade was rocking the Blk/Wht color in the 2011 that we showed you a few weeks back. We also heard reports that day that he would possibly be rocking the Air Jordan Retro 3's in the blk/cement colorway but that did not go down. Take a look at the pictures below and let us know your thoughts on the 2011...it appears that there is not much change from the pictures that have been leaked on the web.
