It's Pittsburgh Now :)

My family and I drove 45 minutes from Grove City, Pennsylvania to visit Pittsburgh - the second largest city in the state of Pennylvania.

First shopping stop was Macy's! I'll show you in an upcoming post the couple of things I got!

A very cool & old weighing scale in Macy's

I saw this and thought, "Charles, are you a cousin of Calvin?"

The rest of this post consists of numerous random pictures I took of Pittsburgh. I LOVE the architecture in Pittsburgh - how there's many old buildings and many modern buildings too.

Cool! Some plants growing along a wall! Very nice. And we realized quickly PNC is a huge bank.
Gosh I have to say, in the States they have many banks! In Canada we have just five major banks.

Churches often have the most beautiful architecture.

Oooo red doors on a Church

We thought the top of the HighMark building was cool.

Love the rooftop detailing

And this rooftop

And the red rooftop on that building in the far right

This reminded me so much of Old City Hall in Toronto

So many small window frames

I liked how this building's walls are orange stained - from the acid in the rain and/or pollution?

This building has that quilted design, don't you think?!

This building reminded me right away of my love, Evgueni. We have both invested in Alcoa

My older sister and I thought the all reflective glass building was neat

Super pretty pattern on this building...

Cool bridge huh?

Look at the roads going up the hill

And look at the houses on the hillside. My parents said it reminded them of the years they lived in New Zealand.

Look at the side of the building. Sheesh, reminded me of a blush or highlighter with different strips of powder colour ;)

Really low prices for crazy amounts of candy

Oh and I noticed a bit of neat graffiti

Ahhh, and we landed at another mall of course. An outdoor mall called Southside Works

Spot the Forever21 store? Got a couple of things from there too!

My sisters didn't seem to think this was news but to me, this was the first bug zapper I've seen! Wow, it's like a fly swatter with a light electric volt through it.

Haha - see the warning "Not a Toy!" Imagine some kid running around smacking people with it!

After shopping, we went to Hofbrauhaus for drinks & dinner :)

I was not impressed with their premium lager. And their light beer was worst.
Still can't beat Keiths (regular) or Sleemans (honey brown ale) in my books :)

On the drive home after our dinner

What is your city known for?
Is the city you live in more modern or classic in architecture? Maybe both?

Miley Cyrus Not allowed to hang out with Ashley Greene

Miley Cyrus Ashley Green
Miley Cyrus is actually allowed to hang out with Ashley Greene. Representative for the "Can't Be Tamed" hitmaker has slammed down rumor suggesting she has been banned from spending time with her "LOL: Laughing Out Loud" co-star, telling Gossip Cop the story "simply not true" and the two actresses can spend time together "as much as they wish."

It was Heat magazine that brought up the rumor of the hanging-out ban in the first place. At the time, the mag claimed that the 17-year-old songstress has been discouraged from developing any friendship with the "Twilight Saga" beauty because her people are keen on keeping what is left of her "teen-dream" image.

A source told the mag, "When Miley was out with Taylor Swift, Taylor's friends thought Miley was too crazy. Now Miley's being protected from Ashley." The insider further revealed that 23-year-old Ashley's partying ways was the actual reason behind the ban. "Ashley always wanted to party," the source said, before mentioning that it affected her relationship with Kellan Lutz.

Miley Cyrus comfortable with her own skin

Miley Cyrus
Friends of Miley Cyrus have spoken out to deny rumours that the star is set to go under the knife and have a boob job.

"It's absurd. Miley has never even considered it. She's always been very comfortable in her own skin." said the friend.

Miley, who is currently filming 'LOL' with Demi Moore, is said to find the rumours hilarious and believes that she is far too young for the plastic surgery.

I'm in Grove City!

My younger sister Jenn (she's visiting from Edmonton) is in town for a couple of more weeks,
so my family decided to take a nice 5 hour drive down to Grove City, Pennsylvania
for a bit of shopping (again!).

The sunrise was so pretty....the picture didn't do it any justice especially with my shaky hands

On the road....it's about a 5 hour drive from Toronto to Grove City.

The clouds in the sky were so pretty here. The glare from the window takes away from it though :\

When I was a kid, often during a car ride I would stare at the clouds and try to make out things that I could see in the cloud shapes (like animals or objects).

Do you stare at clouds that way sometimes?

Oh yeah, Prime Outlet! Seriously, some friends were asking me about Grove City and what's there. I said, "It's just a discount mall. A big one." They asked if there was anything else other than the mall (okay, it was a guy asking!) and I answered, "Nope! If you turn out of the parking lot it's not Grove City anymore" LOL
Okay, in all seriousness there's like a couple of streets outside of the mall that are technically Grove City- but really, Grove City = Prime Outlet Shopping

Remember that Heinz t-shirt I was wearing a couple of posts ago? Well I got it from this cute looking store....but sadly they have closed down. I guess there weren't many people who found the Heinz gear as fashionable as I did?

I'll share my purchases with you in an upcoming post!
What have you been up to this weekend so far?
